Mara Sidai Camp is located in the Masai Mara Game Reserve about 800 meters from ololaimutiek gate. Mara sidai camp is nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees creating a cool retreat from the heat of the plains. The leafy canopy attracts large variety of bird life all day long and you will be gently awoken by a chorus of bird songs every morning.
Mara Sidai Camp has permanent self contained tents with four poster single beds, double beds, twin beds and triple beds. All the tents have private flushin toilets and hot/cold showers. Lighting is provided by a diesel run generator which runs from 18:30 Hours in the evening up to 22:00 Hours.
Solar lamps are provided in case of generator failure guaranteeing continuity in lighting. Sockets are provided in all tents for charging of digital cameras and mobile phones.
The word Sidai is the Masai greeting which directly translated means good. It can also mean well-being and contentment, the latter which captures the mood of the camp.
Mara Sidai Camp sits on a prominent ridge in the Masai Mara ecosystem with each tent located beneath a granite outcropping and overlooking the expansive plains and swamps of Gosuwa. The camp offers walking safaris with trained guides, night drives and daytime game drives.
